Managing Your Servers

Server views

The servers page has two display modes, toggled by a button in the top right:

  • Grid view cards in a responsive grid. Each card shows the server name, game badge, detected variant, schedule, and last backup time.
  • List view the same information in compact table rows. Better for people with many servers or a fondness for spreadsheets.

Your view preference is remembered across page loads.

Sorting

You can sort servers by:

  • Default the order they were added
  • Last Backup most recent first
  • Status running before paused
  • Game Type alphabetical by game

Renaming a server

Click the display name on any server card. It becomes an editable text field. Type the new name, press Enter or click away. Done. The Pterodactyl/Pelican name is shown below for reference and cannot be changed here (that lives in your panel).

Pausing and unpausing

Each server card has a pause toggle. Pausing a server stops automated backups until you unpause it. The server card will show an amber dot instead of green.

Sometimes Pink Narwhal will pause a server automatically. This happens when the server cannot be found in your panel (maybe it was deleted, or your API key changed). The card will show the reason.

Removing a server

Click the remove button and a toast appears with a 5-second undo window. If you do nothing, the server is permanently removed from monitoring.

Warning

Removing a server does not delete its existing backups. Those will expire naturally according to your retention policy.

Plan limits

Your plan determines how many servers you can monitor. When you hit the limit, the Add Server button is disabled and a notice appears. Upgrade your plan to add more.
